She was an avid golfer, bowler and dancer. She was loved by everyone who ever met her.

Let me tell you about the love of my life, my sweetheart, my soulmate;

She was born on September 8, 1944 in Naples, Italy to Natalino and Anna DiMonda. Her father died when she was 2 years old.   Her mother had 6 children; She was the youngest. She and her brother Tony were put in an orphanage. When she wasn’t in the orphanage, she was bounced around to friends and family, never really having a home. When she was in her early teens, she and two of her brothers came to America, settling in Rochester. Even here, she bounced around. Staying with her mom, brothers and sister. She attended East high school, but had to leave before graduating to work and help support the family.

I met her on a blind date and took her to play pool, on a double date, at Olympic on Scottsville Rd. The next week I took her horseback riding. Romantic, don’t you think?

It took me a couple of months of dating to really look at her. When I finally did, I fell in love with her. A year or so later, I asked her to marry me – and she accepted. Go figure. Best deal I ever made.

We wed on September 6, 1965. A year later she had Margaret, September 2, 1966. We bought and moved into a house in Greece, on Menard Drive.  She made our house a home.

Two kids later, we moved to Irondequoit on Shelmont Drive. Five years later, to Penfield on Rodney Lane, then to Woodfield Drive, and then to Valewood Run, where we are today. She made us a family by doing all the things a wife and mother is supposed to do, and she did it with all the love in her heart.

During our marriage, we traveled to Italy, Las Vegas, California, Bahamas, Florida, took numerous cruises -- all over the world -- and spent a great deal of time at Midvale Country Club playing golf, having parties, and making friends.

We had a wonderful life and a  relationship filled with love and good times. She made me laugh more than anyone else in the world. And boy, could she cook.

Now, she is gone and has left me with wonderful memories. I am not the same person without her. I cannot imagine life without her, but I have no choice. She will be in my heart forever.

Love you sweetheart with every ounce of my being. Rest in peace and know that I will take care of the family.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, March 25, from 3pm – 7pm at Falvo Funeral Home 1295 Fpt. Nine Mile Pt. Rd. Webster. On Wednesday, please join the family for her Funeral Mass at 11am at Holy Spirit Church 1355 Hatch Rd. Webster. Entombment White Haven Memorial Park.
