Obituary of Antoinette M. Spallina

Antoinette "Ann" Spallina (Manuse)

Peacefully on March 11, 2025.
Predeceased by husband, Samuel and her son Douglas.

Survived by son David (Rene), daughter in law Paula, Grandchildren Nicholas (Amy), Andrea, Jacqui (Rich) D’Eletto, Samantha (Kirby) and 6 great grandchildren, Sister-n-law, Josephine  Gammiero, Niece and nephews and Lifelong dear friend Marion Pellegrino.

The Spallina Matriarch, Ann treasured her family above all else and her world revolved around them. She was a dedicated Wife, Mother, Mother-in-law, Grandmother, and great-grandmother. She happily doted on Sam, her husband of 60 years and sons Douglas and David.  She readily opened her heart and home to her daughters-in-law Paula and Rene, and lavished love and attention on her four grandchildren and six great grandchildren - greeting them with a sweet treat, a twinkle in her eye and a soft smile. Ann cherished time with her family and relished family vacations as they were opportunities to share new experiences.

Ann was a hair stylist for over 60 years. She had a sophisticated, timeless flare for fashion - always impeccably dressed, hair perfectly coiffed.
A young entrepreneur, Ann initially had her own salon in Seabreeze before moving her craft into the family home. She had remarkable attention to detail which was shown in the family’s meticulously appointed home where she enjoyed entertaining - and on any given weekend, the Spallina home would be bustling with family and friends, the air filled with the aroma of Ann’s flavorful dishes and the sound of her vivacious laughter. Her welcoming, relaxed demeanor always making those around her feel at ease.

Ann was generous with her time and was a long-standing member of the Italian Women’s Civi Club, the St Cecelia’s Women’s Ministry and Genetaska Club of Rochester.
The foundation of Ann’s 96-year long life was the love she held for her family; that love defined her; and it is that love which will be carried in the hearts of those she cherished until they meet again.

Calling hours will be held on Friday 3/14/25 from 4-7 PM at Falvo Funeral Home, 1295 Fairport Nine Mile Point Rd. (Rte. 250) Webster. Please join the family on Saturday, 3/15/25 at 11 AM, in St. Kateri Parish at St. Cecilia Church (2732 Culver Road) for a celebration of her Funeral Mass.
