Predeceased by the love of her life, José Burgos Rivera, after 66 years of marriage; parents, Alfredo and Elpídia Bonilla; in-laws, José M. and María Burgos; daughter, María Burgos; son, José “Papo” Burgos; siblings, Esperanza Soto, Ana Mendez, Angel Bonilla, Mercedes Santini, Aida Roig, Aurélia Reyes, Alfredo Bonilla, Áuria Rolón and many other relatives in Puerto Rico. She is survived by sisters Hilda Ortiz and Nélida Bonilla; her beloved children, Vilma Burgos-Torres, J. Roberto Burgos (Sonia), Victor M. Burgos (Gladys), Alfred Burgos (Ana), Edwin “Chu” Burgos, Luis Burgos, and Catherine Rivera (Richard); adored 20 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren; loved God-Daughter, Inez Gonzalez; dearest, Raquel Singletary, Aida Santos, Natália Madero and Rosa Hernandez; and many adored nieces and nephews, friends and neighbors.

Liduvina was born the sixth of eleven children in Pulgillas, Puerto Rico. She moved to Rochester, NY, in 1954 for José to start a new career and to secure better opportunities for their children. She was a loving wife and mother who instilled in her children and descendants very strong values of unconditional love, empathy, generosity, tenacity, creativity, love of nature, love of her Puerto Rican culture & heritage, dedication to community service and devotion to her faith. Liduvina was an avid gardener and loved animals—spending countless hours tending her beautiful garden and caring for her pets. She thoroughly enjoyed shopping and traveling with her children across the country, to Puerto Rico and to France. In addition to lovingly raising her children, she was a wonderful babysitter for many of her grandchildren and some family friends. Liduvina also was deeply faithful, and rarely missed Sunday Mass until her health declined.
