My beloved husband Jeff, the sunshine of my life, passed away peacefully under Hospice care on Wednesday, February 26th, 2025, after a courageous battle with Parkinson's Disease.

Jeff is survived by his wife of 53 years, Joyce; his son John (Natalie) and their children Jacques and Gabrielle; daughter-in-law Jaclyn Spencer; sister Judy (Bill) Scheepsma; sister-in-law Judy Koehler (Mike Bonafede); sister-in-law Carole McGrath; special cousin Lydia Birr; and lifelong best friends Marilyn and Don Harrington and Larry Capizzi.

Jeff was predeceased by his son Patrick; his parents Jim and June McGrath, and his brother Jim McGrath.

Jeff was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He worked in the Webster and Rush-Henrietta School Districts for 36 years as a teacher, coach, and administrator and truly loved his job. He was a wonderful athlete and ran thousands of miles over his lifetime. As his disease progressed, he sorely missed his daily runs but continued to keep fit as best he could.

His favorite times were spent at the family cottage on Goose Bay in the 1000 Islands. He enjoyed boating, fishing, and especially our daily 5:30 cocktail hour on the patio with family, friends, and neighbors.

Thank you to the staff at the Brightonian Nursing Home who gave Jeff such gentle care in his final days. I will always remember your kindness.

Per Jeff's wishes, there will be no calling hours and no memorial service. Interment will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Penfield.
