Obituary of Anthony J. Florio
Anthony Joseph “Tony” Florio, 77, of Webster, NY, passed away on February 14, 2025, peacefully at his home.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, February 18 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at Falvo Funeral Home (1295 Webster Rd. Webster, NY 14580)
Tony was born in Rochester, NY, to Alphonse and Josephine Florio, on June 16th, 1947. He was the owner/operator of Tony’s Culver Atlantic for over 40 years. He loved the sun and a cold beer, sitting on his floating cottage (his boat), and enjoyed traveling in his motor home. Tony served in Vietnam Army as a helicopter crew chief for 4 years. The most important title he ever carried was Poppie to his family. His greatest accomplishments were his children and all his grandchildren. Tony was a lover, not a fighter.
Tony is survived by his beloved wife of 40 years, Sharen Packer-Florio; his children, Anthony Jr (Kelly) Florio, Michael (Natasha) Florio; stepchildren, Billy (Manuela) Mitchell, Chad (Rachel) Brockman; grandchildren, Abby (Zach) Withers, Hannah (Jacob) Florio, Anthony III (Jada) Florio, Emma Brockman, Kenzie Brockman, Evan Mitchell, Madyson Brockman, Carter Mitchell; dear friends, Steve and Diane Frasca; pets, Hunter, Remington and Dakota. He is preceded in death by his father and mother, Alphonse and Josephine; sister and brother-in-law, Rosalind Florio- Hayes and Wayne Hayes; brother, Samuel Florio.
Memorial donations may be made to American Heart Association or The Veteran’s Outreach Center. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to nurses, Jodi Rusch and Natasha Dineen.
