Obituary of Yolanda Arcarisi

Yolanda (Yoli) Arcarisi

Passed peacefully on Saturday, January 25th, 2025, at the age of 96. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 63 years, Salvatore; son Mark; brothers Phil, Lou, Sam, Frank, Joe, and John Gangi; sisters Angelina LaDelfa, Josephine Pilato, and Rose Zazzara; as well as brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, and nieces.

Yolanda is survived by daughters Sheila (Tom) Englerth and Kristin (Michael) Carbone; grandchildren Andrea Arcarisi-Pawling, Samantha (Brian) Bohrer, Mark Arcarisi (Hali Forshee), Lisa (Aaron) Hertweck, Jason Englerth, and Makayla Carbone; great-grandchildren Brian, Leah, Miley, Liam, and Lucas; and sisters-in-law Rosemary (Nick) Sacchitella, Antoinette (Sam) Ciadella, and Marion Perkins and the Kissing Cousins.

Yolanda adored her husband and loved her family deeply. She was the youngest of a wonderful family and the matriarch of the one she married into. Together they shared many happy times.

Yolanda was a vibrant lady, always a sharp dresser with painted lips and nails. She greeted everyone with a smile and a hug; her optimistic attitude was infectious. Yoli’s favorite pastime was the casino, playing cards with family and friends, or enjoying a solo game.

In her final weeks, Yolanda was lovingly cared for at the Leo Center for Caring, where she quickly made friends with both the staff and fellow residents. She brightened their days with kisses or a song, making her a joy to care for.

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to every staff member at the Leo Center for Caring, including her Hospice Aid and Hospice Nurse, for their exceptional care and support. They shared many joyful moments with Yoli including late-night dancing and lighthearted remarks. We are forever grateful.

Our mom will certainly be missed by all whose lives she touched with her kindness, generosity, and vibrant spirit.

Please join the family on Wednesday, February 5th at 12pm at St. Ann's Chapel for her Memorial Mass. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Leo Center of Care at St. Ann’s Community.

Condolences sent in care of Falvo Funeral Home (1295 Fairport Nine Mile Pt. Rd. Webster, NY 14580) will be forwarded to the family.
