I never knew Tineke well; however, my late wife, Sheryl Helmus Bruinsma, knew her as a teacher at Rochester Christian School, where she also taught. She had many wonderful things to say about her association with Tineke. Sheryl was impressed with her vivacious spirit and kindness. You were blessed!

Tineke was a living example of what "servanthood" means. She is woven into every part of our families lives--my children's teacher, youth group leader, volunteering for whatever was needed at FCWC, SB2W, youth group, VBS...you name it. She also was my friend, and my example of how to serve God. She will be deeply missed.

Karen, Wally & Lubberts family, We are so sorry to hear of your Moms passing. She was truly an angel on earth! She was such a giving and loving Lady with the best smile & hugs. Tineke shared her many gifts of love with the Bouwmeester family throughout her life. She is remembered with appreciation and gratitude. Jantina was both my daughter's 6th grade teacher at RCS. She was their best teacher ever !! She always had a smile and hug and a contagious laugh.She was SO devoted to her students and especially her husband Herm after his accident. Her family is so blessed to have her as their Mom and Grandma. God blessed us all when he created and gifted her. Jim Missel <^^><

Years ago Jantina wasn’t able to come to our January potluck birthday party. The party had not yet started and suddenly Jantina stood in front of our door food in her hands saying “I know I already had different plans and can’t attend but I wanted to make sure I bring some food because you love cherries.” And after one of her tightly- embracing-you-hugs she was on her way to her other engagement. Such love she was.
