Pete and I were very good friends in Grand Haven High School. We met at a meeting of the Amateur Radio Club of Ottawa Country. We would eat our bag lunches together most days, and talk about Ham Radio and girls, most of the time.
He was a good guy, and I considered him my friend.
After High School we lost track of each other. I remember feeling sorry for Pete cuz he always had to ride the bus home from school. Before Spring Lake had their own High School all of the Spring Lake kids were bused to Grand Haven High School.
Still... each day I ride North on Savage Street in Spring Lake, and past Pete's old house, I think of fond memories of Pete and me and the class of 1960.
