Aunt Lou and Uncle Vinny were my 2nd set of parents. When visiting, also stayed at their house. Uncle Vinny always shared his wisdom and humor with me - including his insight with Xerox. Aunt Lou was easy to talk to and came to Texas to help when my dad passed away. I knew something was not good when Aunt Lou always either sent me a birthday card or called me on my birthday - 3/28. So, was not surprised when I got the call from LuAnn about her passing. So many great memories involving Aunt Lou. Blessing to the entire family.

She was my mom. She was stern when necessary but always kind, loving, and fun. I love her with all my heart and am going to miss her too much. I am happy for her since she is now free from pain. My hope is she is at family club with her siblings and the spouses playing cards and eating amazing food.

I have many fond memories of my Godmother and Aunt Lucille. One that comes to mind is how for special occasions she and Uncle Vin would give me a silver dollar. Recently I mentioned to Aunt Lu that I saved all those silver dollars and still have them today. Wouldn't you know it, with her great sense of humor, she recently sent me a silver dollar.
