She was my “Aunt” Bonnie all my life, not through blood but through love. Together with my Uncle Chuck she loved on me, and my family, as tho we were her own. Venturing nearly a quarter continent of a drive to find us when we moved far away she brought us cookies from our beloved Rochester. Exploring her home for the epic pinball machine led to countless cries of joy as we racked up the points and celebrated together. Surely it was her steady eye that kept us safe as we children got up to all manner of shenanigans in that pool! Her hugs, kisses, warmth, have been with me all my life. No matter how far on this planet I’ve travelled she’s been with my heart. Writing to me when I was young, and lost in strange countries, she always reminded me… I was loved. Thank you Aunt Bonnie, together with your tremendous kindness as part of who I am, we’ve gone far and done marvels. Now, if only I could find a van as cool as the one you and uncle chuck are exploring heaven with right now ;)
