Obituary of Christine Bohannon (Matta)

Bohannon Christine Matta
Webster June 24, 2017.Age 39.

Predeceased by her niece Nicole Ranalletta. Survived by her husband Brian Bohannon, daughters Brianna, Age 7 and Allison, Age 4, parents Grant & Rosemary Matta, sisters Mary Ann Matta (Chris) DeMario & Catherine Matta, father-in-law & mother-in-law Charles & Angelina Bohannon, sisters-in-law Chris (Rich) Ranalletta & Karen (Al) Sharrow, nieces, nephews & cousins.

Christine was born in Red Bank, NJ.  She moved to Fairport, NY and spent most of her childhood there, graduating from Fairport High School in 1995.  She went on to get a Bachelor's degree in Math at SUNY Fredonia and a Master's degree from SUNY Brockport.  

She started her teaching career at Sodus High School in 2000, and went on to Penfield High School, eventually settling at Webster Thomas for the majority of her 10-year teaching career until resigning to stay home and raise children in 2010.

Christine enjoyed dancing, and spent many years at Fitzsimmons Dance.  She loved being active outdoors, playing and watching sports, exercising, and boating.  Her calling was being a teacher and mother, and she spent almost all of her recent years with her family, raising her two beautiful daughters.

Christine persevered through more than 16 years of an immune disorder, causing frequent and serious illness, without complaint.  We would like to thank all of the following for their caring, love and support throughout her life and recent illness.
