Obituary of Rosemary A. Wiktorski (Vasile)

Wiktorski, Rosemary A. (Vasile)

Rochester: On June 11, 2017, surrounded by her precious and devoted family, Rosemary was called to rest by our Lord. Predeceased by her husband Stanley Wiktorski and her grandson Casey Wiktorski. Survived by her loving and devoted sons Jeff Wiktorski, Mark and Andy (Caetano) Wiktorski, Greg and Heather (Roffe) Wiktorski and Kevin Wiktorski; grandchildren Nicholas (Gina Mattice), Alexis, Cody, Corey and Colby; brothers Wilfred Vasile and Tom Vasile (Mary Huppe); nieces and nephews Phil and Becky (Loomis) Vasile, Brad and Debbie (Vasile) James, Chad and Mandy (Vasile) Kirby, Eric and Ericka (James) Tones, Tony Vasile (Samantha Kaminski); sister in-laws; nieces and nephews; aunts; cousins and close special family friends Father Bill Graf and Connie Pearce.

Rosemary was born and raised in Warsaw, NY and met her husband Stanley while attending beauty school after finishing high school. They were married and together started Stan and Ro's Beauty Salon, which remained in business for over 50 years. Countless memories and friendships were fostered over the years and their clients became part of the family. Rosemary also worked part-time for the Rochester City School District in the lunchroom at No. 33 and No. 11 elementary schools for over 30 years. She was widely known and respected as Miss Rose or the Ice Cream Lady. Rosemary was a selfless pillar of strength and the matriarch of the family. Always putting her family and needs of others first, she dedicated years of helping and supporting others and just being there to listen. Rosemary's passion was cooking and having family over every Sunday for a meal together. She created and passed on traditions around making sure family stuck together and spent time with one another. These traditions will never end.

Our family is eternally grateful for all of the love and support from family, friends, the community and especially the wonderful staff at Lifetime Care and the amazing team at the Hildebrandt Hospice Care Center. The Hildebrandt staff provided endless amounts of love and support to Mom and our family and made her last days on this earth a very special time.

In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations be made to Hildebrandt Hospice Care Center in Rosemary's name.
