Guadagnino, Joseph S. Papa, "Mr. G" Webster/Irondequoit: Went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and reunited with his beloved "Honey Bunny", our mother Inez on Nov. 28, 2016 at the age of 91. He is survived by his devoted children, Kathryn (Joe) DiMaria, Stephen (Carol) Guadagnino, Clare Guadagnino (fiance John Sippel), and Joseph (Maryanne)Guadagnino. He loved and cherished his 12 grandchildren, Stephen Guadagnino, Joseph F. DiMaria Jr., Colette Bonavita, Liza Coluccelli, Stephanie DiMaria Buchbinder, Carrie Foye, Marissa Spitali, Jessica Spitali, Joseph A. Guadagnino, Jenna Cochrane, Sarabeth Spitali, Frankie Guadagnino; sister-in-law, Adeline DeCarlo. He also leaves several nieces and nephews especially his adored nieces, Diane Maliani of Utica and Jean Greene of CA. Dad was a graduate of Aquinas Institute, and University of Brockport, where he earned his teaching credentials. He then attended Syracuse University Law School, where he graduated in 1955. Dad joined the law firm of Levy and Levy; after which he initiated a partnership with Angelo Faraci. He retired in 2009 at 82 years of age, but continued practicing law at home for 3 more years as he was dedicated to helping others. Dad was an Adjunct Professor teaching business law at RBI. He also taught American History to many immigrants seeking US citizenship. He was especially endearing to his Italian students and clients as he spoke fluent Italian. Dad served in the US Army, where he played clarinet in the US Army band. In the 1940s he played saxophone in many local bands. He was an avid fan of Drum and Bugle corps, and was legal counsel to the Statesmen and the United Drum Corps. You would often find our Dad, cheering on his children as they marched in competition. He also loved Syracuse football and basketball, frequently attending season games with his sons. Go Orange! Dad was a longtime member of St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Parish at Our Lady of The Americas where he leaves many wonderful friends and his special girls, Diamond, Kathy and Mary. We would like to thank all those involved in Dad's care at home, Kim and Donna. We are forever grateful for the “angels” at St. Ann’s Care Center, who truly loved our Dad, especially his “fiancée’s”; you know who you are - he loved you all. Our father is now exactly where he wanted to be, with our mother and his Lord Jesus Christ.
