Obituary of Angelina Ferrara, (Polizzi)

Ferrara, Angelina “Angie” (Polizzi) Rochester: Friday, July 22, 2016 at age 87. After a brief and courageous battle with multiple myeloma, Angie passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving husband of 66 years, Paul and her children. Angie is predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Angelina Polizzi. She is survived by her husband, Paul; her children, Anthony (Charlene) Ferrara, Joseph (Marianne) Ferrara, Rita (James) Amorese, Paula (Gary) Freedman. She is also survived by many grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sister, Josephine Potenza; brother, Louis (Arlene) Polizzi; sister-in-laws, Jean (Peter) Bruno, Mary Vanden Burgh; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Angie was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother. Her most favorite times were spent cooking for her family. She was an avid photographer and loved building a collection of family memories. She will be greatly missed by all. Special thanks to the care givers at RGH MICU and the Leo Center at St. Ann’s Family and friends may call on Monday, July 25th from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm at Falvo Funeral Home at 1295 Fairport Nine Mile Point Rd. (Rte. 250), Webster. A celebration of her life will be held at St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Parish @ Annunciation Church, 1754 Norton Street Tuesday at 10:00 am, interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those wishing, may contribute to the American Diabetes Association.
