Povio, Raymond F. Tucson, AZ: On March 23, 2015, age 86. Predeceased by his loving wife, Mary Povio; his parents, Anthony & Cecilia Povio; brothers, Vincent and Anthony and sister, Beverly Schlicker. Survived by his children, Raymond (Judy) Povio, Donna (Bruce) Tyo, Angela (William) Zink, and Debra Landis of AZ; 6 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Veteran of 82nd Airborne Division, member of the Henrietta Volunteer Fire Department, retired Foreman at DiFiore Construction and member of the Rochester Laborers Union, Local #435 for over 40 years. Raymond spent many enjoyable years of retirement in Florida and Arizona. He much enjoyed the opportunity to be able to pursue his love of the outdoors and to do the things he loved, surrounded by his many friends. He excelled at working with his hands, and was always ready to pitch in and help either the family, or friends in whatever needed work: for which they were all forever grateful. Calling, MONDAY, 4-8 PM at the Falvo Funeral Home, 1295 Fairport Nine Mile Point Road (Webster, Rte. 250). On TUESDAY family and friends are asked to go directly to St. Joseph's of Penfield Church (43 Gebhardt Road) for the celebration of his Funeral Mass at 10 AM. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Honor Flight Rochester or the American Heart Association . Interment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery with Military Honors.
